Playstation and Xbox owners can now sign up to Beta test a mysterious new Resident Evil game that’s being released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Capcom’s long running franchise.
Capcom are remaining very tight-lipped about what this 25th anniversary of Resident Evil Beta test actually is, but they will reveal more at 5AM (EST) on January 21st. For now all we know is that it’s a multiplayer action game that’s playable with four to six people and it’s a PS4 and Xbox One game (though also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series S). The fact that it’s under the Village section of the website seems to indicate it will be linked to that in some way, but also as it’s a 25th anniversary celebration you can expect it to harken back to earlier games in the franchise too.
To sign up for the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil Beta you’ll need a Resident Evil Ambassador account, and the higher the ambassador ranking the more chance you have of making it in. Beta testing starts on Jan 28th so sign up now for a chance to be among the first into this mysterious Resident Evil game.
