A Little To The Left is a cozy and oddly satisfying little puzzle game about organising household objects and adding order to chaos, while often being sabotaged by a mischievous cat.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer when it was a game jam build, A Little To The Left is a puzzle game about putting everything in its correct place. This starts off as simply as straightening a squint picture frame, but can get as complex as organising an entire drawer of assorted clutter. It’s an oddly therapeutic experience, but you are also a cat owner and cats love chaos, so expect a little sabotage from your furry friend now and again…
What’s interesting about the puzzles in A Little To The Left is that you have to work out how to restore order to each one of them. When it comes to straightening a picture it’s fairly obvious, but other puzzles can require a little more deduction and experimentation – such as when you try to organize a selection of differently shaped keys. It can take a while to figure out some of the puzzles, but the clues are all there if you’re observant enough.
It’s a wonderfully chilled out and wholesome little puzzle experience that scratches the same kind of itch as Unpacking. There’s a real satisfaction to be had from finding the right place for everything and the right place for A Little To The Left is on your hard drive. Highly recommended.
