Adam Wolfe is a very impressive new game that manages to inject a dark storyline, gorgeous visuals, point and click-style puzzles, action and spectacle into the hidden object adventure genre.
You play as Adam Wolfe, a detective of the supernatural, who’s looking for his sister who mysteriously went missing 2 years ago. On a tip you investigate a disturbance, but may end up in more trouble than you bargained for.
As soon as you boot up Adam Wolfe, you’re aware that this is a very different style of hidden object game – with lush visuals, a rich narrative and involving gameplay. Indeed, calling it just a ‘hidden object’ game may be doing it a disservice – it’s a fully formed point and click adventure, with hidden object elements incorporated into it. There’s also a surprising amount of action in the game, with a real sense of immediacy and danger as you explore the supernatural world – a world where fireball-throwing monsters can be just around the corner, waiting to turn you into toast.
If you’re even slightly interested in hidden object adventures (or even point & click adventures), then we highly recommend checking out Adam Wolfe – the visuals, story, puzzles and level of polish elevate the hidden object genre to a whole new level. A hidden gem, well worth checking out.
