Beta sign ups are now live for American Theft 80s, an open world thieving adventure set in a small American town in the 80’s.
Currently in development by Noble Muffins (creators of Thief Simulator), American Theft 80s plays a little like the GTA games, but the setting is much smaller so it allows for much more detail. Every building in the game can be entered (with the right tools) and ransacked for valuables. Just make sure you don’t get caught!
In the game you follow the story of a lowly thief who is busted while on a job and must now carry out another job to make up for it. You’ll need to work your way up to that job though, carrying out smaller jobs and doing side-hustles along the way. Cash you earn can be used to purchase better tools like crowbars, bolt cutters and lockpicks, allowing you to pull off more elaborate jobs.
It’s a great take on the open world crime genre, with its small town setting packed full of great little details and thieving opportunities. Sign up now to break into the Beta!
