Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here, being created by a development team of the same name, is a sleek, sci-fi pixel art metroidvania based shooter set on a strange planet in another galaxy.
In Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here (Or Simply Andromeda: T.I.N.G.U.H or Andromeda) you play as a bounty hunter by the name of Max Weaver, sent on a mission to a strange new galaxy. Your mission is to investigate this newly founded planet in search of missing scientists and the reason behind why the planet is void of any signs of life. After fighting through a wave of asteroids that are hurtling in your general direction, you teleport down to the planet below ready to take on anything that may, or may not, come your way.
Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here is an amazing throw back to games such as Metroid and Castlevania, having a perfect blend of side-scrolling platforming, open world exploration and retro run and gun combat. Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here’s tutorial stage allows everyone to get in amongst the fray from the get go, teaching you which buttons do what in-game and also shows detailed pictures of both a keyboard and game pad so that you can play Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here which ever way you prefer. The music in Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here adds so much more emphasis to both the game’s story and plot but also adds to the immersive experience as well.
Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here isn’t a walk-over either. The hand holding stops straight after the opening tutorial level, which is optional I might add, and once you touch base on the planet’s surface be prepared for some intense and rage inducing moments against the enemies you encounter and the bosses you have to face. Perfect for those who prefer their games to present a real challenge, instead of just holding your hand all the way through.
The Andromeda Project team have worked together seamlessly to create such a sublime and nostalgic experience for the whole world to enjoy. Currently they are looking for backing via their Kickstsarter page (link below) and we’d certainly recommend checking it. Full of mystery, action and cannon blasting fun, Andromeda: There Is No God Up Here is one of those games that you can’t seem to stop playing. Do you have what it takes to brave an uncharted planet and uncover the mysterious that this new galaxy has to hold?
