Aquarial is a delightfully strange and silly little adventure which follows a little fish who goes in search of a pretty rock that’s stolen by a bird!
Created for Ludum Dare 48, Aquarial is a wonderfully whimsical little fishy adventure about a red drum fish that lives in a mountain lake. You control the little fish, with it able to swim around his little enclosed lake and chat to the inhabitants. Everyone’s friendly and they seem to be a little obsessed with a spherical “rock” that they enjoy staring at. However, a bird soon swoops down and snatches it and you set out to try and get it back…
Taking around 10 minutes to play through, Aquarial is the sort of game that just makes you smile with each new thing (or character) you discover. The writing and the quirky fishy characters you meet are a real delight and there are some wonderfully odd twists along the way. It makes for an absurd and uplifting little adventure that’ll brighten up your day. Highly recommended.
