art of rally is a glorious throwback to the golden days of rally racing from the creator of Absolute Drift, allowing you to get behind the wheel of classic rally cars and race them through winding tracks across the world.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the Beta Sign Up, art of rally is a very stylish top-down low poly racing game that’s easy to pick up and play, but takes real skill to master. In the game you’ll be able to jump into rally cars based on real life cars from the 60s, 70s, 80s, Group B and Group S, and race them in 60 unique tracks set in Finland, Sardinia, Norway, Japan and Germany.
The current demo build features two classic rally cars and one large gravel/tarmac track set in the scenic woodland of Finland. You can race in different conditions (morning, afternoon, sunset, fog, rain, night) and there are also photo and replay modes. The handling of the cars is a little like Absolute Drift, but you have a lot more control and they’re less likely to spin out. That’s not to say it’s easy though – you really need your wits around you to keep your car on the winding tracks and to pull off those sweet drifts around corners.
It’s shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the underserved genre of top-down racing. This low poly visuals looks stunning and the cars handle beautifully. It’s a delight drifting (and crashing) your way through its stylish low poly world. Highly recommended.
