Aurora Trail is an inventive puzzle platforming adventure in which the camera movement is as vital as the movement of your character – because if any colored part of your character overlaps with a matching piece of scenery then it’ll disappear!
In Aurora Trail your aim is to manoeuvre your character through multicolored 3D levels while avoiding overlapping any matching parts of your body with matching colored parts of the environment. If an appendage such as an arm overlaps then it’ll disappear yet you’ll still be able to carry on, but if the core at the center of your body overlaps with a matching color then the core will disappear then you’ll fall to pieces and die. The levels are packed full of colored structures that you need to avoid overlapping – which you need to do by controlling the angle of the camera (and you can also change the color of your body parts at times).
It’s a clever concept that turns the camera into an entity that your character has to interact with in symbiosis. You’ll need character movement and camera movement to work in unison to make your way through this tricky color-based puzzle platformer.
