Bombergrounds: Battle Royale – Alpha Sign Up

Bombergrounds: Battle Royale is a fun reimagining of the original last man standing battle royale game – Bomberman – with up to 50 players blowing up crates, collecting power-ups and attempting to blow each other up in bomb-filled multiplayer combat.

In each match of Bombergrounds: Battle Royale you’ll compete with up to 50 players in top-down bomb-dropping arena warfare. As in Bomberman you start each match with relatively feeble bombing abilities but there’s lots of power-ups to collect, including extra bombs, triple-bombs, invincibility bubbles and mega-bombs. The edges of the battlefield slowly drop away during the matches, forcing players into smaller and smaller play areas until there’s only one survivor. Players have a choice of a variety of different cute and cuddly customizable avatars and you can customise them with cosmetic items that you can unlock with coins you earn in-game.

It’s a great looking game with charming visuals and fast paced bomb-based multiplayer combat. Battle royale games have exploded recently, but Bomberman was doing last man standing combat long before PUBG and Fortnite, so it’s nice that Bombergrounds: Battle Royale pays homage to the Hudson Soft classics while also staying relevant in the modern gaming era.
