The Call of Duty: WWII Open Beta is now live on PC, with everybody able to download it now and start storming the trenches as the series goes back to its roots.
Call of Duty: WWII is Activision’s first foray into the WWII era for Call of Duty since 2008’s World at War, and promises more of a boots on the ground approach to warfare than the increasingly futuristic and gadget filled series. The Beta features Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint and the new narrative-driven War mode (with missions as opposing teams clash over key objectives).
The Call of Duty: WWII Open Beta will run until October 2nd at 10am PT and everyone that takes part in it will unlock a special helmet, calling card and emblem for the full game upon release. It doesn’t seem to be very well optimised for PC players at the moment and the negative reviews are pouring into Steam. But CoD always gets plenty of criticism for anything it does, why not try it for yourself and find out!
