Carried Away is a great looking new low poly physics based puzzle game in which you construct ski lifts, jumps and bridges on a treacherous mountain landscape then watch as brave skiers and mountain bikers test them out (often getting maimed in the process!)
Carried Away offers an inventive twist on the bridge construction genre, with you building chairlifts, gondolas, jumps, bridges and drag lifts across the games 50 level campaign and a sandbox mode (with procedurally generated mountains). It promises a lot of variety to the construction-based puzzles and the tension/compression requirements of a cable system offer a very different challenge than a solid bridge.
Of course, a lot of the time your ambitious structures will be complete disasters, but your failures will at least be accompanied by plenty of physics-based rag doll hilarity as you watch your paying customers maim themselves in various ways. Sure. you don’t want them to plummet to their deaths on the icy slopes, but tight budgets, mountain terrain, cutting corners and (possibly deliberate) poor design will often stand between you and a perfect safety record.
It’s a fun looking game that seems set to offer just as much joy from your epic failures as it does successful constructions. Sure, you may get some acclaim for your construction skills, but it’s those brave passengers who deserve the real praise!
