Beta sign ups are now live for Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator, a new first person disaster simulation game that looks set to deliver a terrifyingly realistic take on the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Aiming to be one of the few games about Chernobyl that doesn’t see you facing mustants in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator looks set to focus on realism and the true horror of the disaster as you take on the role of one of the Liquidators tasked with containing the radiation. Your actions could help save the lives of millions of people as you help to deal with the immediate and long term effect of the fallout.
Your work will take place in and around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, with one of the obvious tasks being to drain the water tanks under the plant which could have caused an explosion that irradiated most of Europe. There’s a lot more clean-up work to do other than that though and you’ll also be carrying out some of the more morally unsettling tasks though – such as clearing people from their family homes and executing innocent animals.
It’s really not going to be a barrel of laughs but Chernobyl Liquidators Simulator looks set to be an immersive experience that puts you on the frontline of what could have been one of the most world altering events in modern history. Sign up for the Beta to be one of the first to step into the shoes of these unsung heroes.
