In Closer the Distance you are a young woman who has recently died in a car accident. You now have a ghostly form and ethereal abilities which you can use to check-in on your friends and loved ones as they try to come to terms with your loss. You can use your abilities to affect their decisions and ultimately determine the future of the town they live in.
It’s a beautiful game with a very touching story, believable characters, excellent voice acting and decisions that really affect the people and the narrative. It’s fascinating being able to simultaneously follow a tragedy through the eyes of the deceased and the loved ones. Highly recommended.
