DASH: Danger Action Speed Heroes is a speed focused action platforming toolkit that could best be described as Super Meat Boy meets Mario Maker, allowing players to easily build, play and share their own precision splatforming levels.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Alpha last year, DASH: Danger Action Speed Heroes is a community driven precision platformer that allows players to create and share their own levels as in LittleBigPlanet and Mario Maker. DASH has more of an emphasis on speed though, with fast paced Super Meat Boy-esque platforming physics and players competing to speedrun through levels as fast as possible. You can also choose between a selection of different characters, each with their own unique stats.
The levels that you play though are all created by the community and arranged into playlists such as Best Rated, Newest, Easy, Expert and so on. This makes it very easy to pick up and play even if you’re not interested in creating levels. The quality of the levels is pretty impressive (and challenging) and you earn different colored diamonds for beating them which can earn you a place on the online leaderboards.
The level creation suite is very impressive too, with a comprehensive selection of themes, building blocks, enemies and power-ups that you can place, whilst also remaining easy to use. It’s a very intuitive experience that allows you to knock up a decent level in minutes.
DASH really impresses with its great platforming physics, an endless supply of community created content and the ability to easily build and share your own deviously designed levels. Sign up for the Beta to join in the fun!
