Debris is a fantastic looking first person underwater survival adventure, playable in singleplayer or co-op, that sees you trapped in the depths of a mysterious frozen ocean, dealing with deadly creatures and attempting to find a way to reach the surface.
In Debris you play one of the members of a film team that’s been sent to film video of newly discovered meteoric debris embedded in the arctic ice. The meteor seems to be emitting clean, hyper-efficient energy that could benefit the entire world, but soon after your dive begins, explosions create currents that drag you down to the depths, trapping you and your team in a labyrinthine network of glacial caverns.
You’ll need to work alongside your team to make it to the surface before your air and power supply runs out. As you explore the beautiful underwater world filled with alien bioluminescence, you’ll discover futuristic weaponry, a robotic squid and deadly creatures with their own domains, desires and attitudes. You’ll also need to make meaningful choices throughout Debris, with the narrative being dynamically affected by your decisions.
It’s a gorgeous looking game, that looks set to offer a cerebral and spectacle-filled survival horror-style experience as you fend off hostile sea creatures, discover alien technology and navigate claustrophobic caverns. The full game releases in October, but sign up for the Beta for a chance to dive into this beautiful bioluminescent Beta early!
