Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco’s surprisingly awesome fighting game based on the Dragon Ball Z Anime series, is bringing it’s beautifully animated Anime combat to the Nintendo Switch, with players able to join in the Open Beta now!
After years of sub-standard video game tie-ins, Dragon Ball Z finally got the fighting game it deserved when Dragon Ball FighterZ was released back in January this year. The character roster, animation, OTT special moves and excellent audio design delighted fans of the series, while fighting game fans were also pleasantly surprised to find that it’s a genuinely good competitive fighting game with a deep combat system that takes skill to master.
Thankfully now Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to Nintendo Switch and the Open Beta gives players access to four different game modes (Practice, Arena, Ring and Ring Party), thirteen stages and a whopping 23 characters – including Goku (SS), Goku(SSGSS), Goku Black, Yamcha, Vegeta(SS), Piccolo, Gohan(Adult), Gohan(Teenager), Frieza, Ginyu, Tien, Cell, Android 18, Gotenks, Nappa, Krillin, Kid Buu, Majin Buu, Android 16, Hit, Vegeta (SSGSS) and Trunks.
It’s a great game and is certainly worth checking out if you’re a Switch owner and are a fan of fighting games, love the Anime series or just like seeing beautifully animated characters beat each other up. The Beta is live until August 11th, 2018 at 11:59 PM (PDT) so join in now for some spectacle-filled Anime fighting fun.
