Dyeswap is a cleverly crafted first person match-3 puzzler that sees you swapping the colors of blocks to help you navigate its deviously designed levels.
In Dyeswap you have the ability to swap the colors of blocks which make up the levels. If you swap the colors to create three adjacent blocks of the same color then they’ll disappear, allowing you to pass through them to your goal (or to your demise in some levels). You can also pass through transparent glass blocks as long as you are currently carrying the color that borders them.
Some of the puzzles can be pretty tricky, buy you do have some assistance in the form of signs which are scattered throughout the levels – though a lot of the time you may want to do the exact opposite of what they tell you to do! The color swapping and match-3 mechanics are used in lots of very inventive ways throughout the game, often requiring some lateral thinking to solve them. It’s a very well designed cerebral color swapping puzzler well worth checking out.
