Embr is a wonderfully chaotic looking new firefighting “Un-simulator” where you rush into burning buildings and save lives while working for a deregulated hyper-capitalist private firefighting company.
Taking place in a future where public funding for firefighting has run dry, in Embr you take on the role of an Embr Respondr™ – essentially the Uber driver equivalent of a firefighter. You’re totally unqualified, underfunded and underpaid, but you’ve got spirit and you’ve got plenty of spare time on your hands, so why not have a crack at it? It can’t be that hard can it?
Embr is playable in single-player or online co-op and sees you turning up at emergency situations and saving lives. You’ll be able to break down doors, carry and throw survivors out of the building, clear gas leaks, fix electrical circuits and fight fire as you attempt to get each situation under control. You’ll be given a score based on the lives and valuable possessions you save and the cash you make from each job can be used to lease better equipment and vehicles from Embr.
It’s a great looking game that should offer plenty of chaos and hilarity as your underfunded, undertrained and underequipped firefighter struggles with a variety of emergency situations. Sign up for the Beta to start busting down doors and saving lives!
