Eversleep: Lunistice Gaiden is a charming PS1 styled third person platformer where a tanuki runs, jumps and fights her way through her dreams.
Playing a little like a blend of Crash Bandicoot and Mario 64, Eversleep: Lunistice Gaiden is a good old fashioned 3D platforming adventure starring a cute Tanuki called Hana. You run, jump, double-jump and spin your way through floating levels that exist in Hana’s dreams. The levels aren’t too taxing, but they have a nice amount of collectibles to seek out and there’s a nice amount of variety of differently themed settings.
Eversleep: Lunistice Gaiden is being created as a challenge to see if the dev could make a commercially viable game in just 30 days, so it may lack a little polish, but it’s still way better than the majority of PS1/Sega Saturn era 3D platformers. It’s responsive, fast paced, challenging and packed full of vibrant retro visuals. It’s amazing what you can do in just 30 days!
