Fejd is a very stylish open world online Viking survival game that sees you scavenging, crafting, building and fighting in a vast open world populated by beasts from Norse mythology.
Currently in development by Richard Svensson (creator of Tolroko), Fejd sees you battling mythical monsters and attempting to carve out a life in its beautiful, but dangerous open world. You start the game with nothing and must scavenge resources to craft useful items such as axes, clubs and a hammer. Once the hammer is crafted then it unlocks much more crafting options, including a fire to keep you warm, small scale terraforming, a crafting bench and structures that you can use to build a house.
Getting the resources to build all of this can be quite tricky as there are deadly monsters that roam the land and even an act of cutting down a tree can kill you if you’re standing in the way when it falls down. Die and you’ll lose everything you’re carrying, but the structures you’ve built will still remain so you can continue where you left off.
Fejd is still very early in development and there’s a lot of features still to be implemented. It’s already an impressive game though, with an excellent visual style, great monster design and an intuitive interface that makes carving out a life in its game world a very enjoyable experience well worth checking out.
