Fleshworms is a stylish retro Sci-Fi point and click adventure where you attempt to escape from a crashed spaceship in a land filled with grotesque giant alien Fleshworms!
Fleshworms is the third installment of Malte Burup’s The Outer Zone dystopian Sci-Fi point and click adventures. As with the rest of The Outer Zone games, it’s a self contained adventure with no knowledge of the previous games required, but it does a good job of fleshing out the shared universe they occur in. It sees you trying to escape from your ship (and a deadly fleshworm) after you crash in the middle of nowhere while transporting a powerful weapon back to your city.
Taking around 10-15 minutes to play through, it’s a very enjoyable little point and click adventure with a striking visual style and cleverly designed puzzles. It’s got a great pulp Sci-Fi vibe, the writing is witty (such as the TV advertisement for “Legs”) and the fleshworm is suitably grotesque. Good luck trying to escape it!
