FOES.IO is essentially an easily accessible browser based top down version of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, that sees players scavenging weapons and fighting to be the last one standing in an ever-shrinking battleground.
Featuring fast paced matches that usually last just a few minutes, FOES.IO transports the PUBG-style Battle Royale gameplay into the browser based .io format popularised by Agar.io and Slither.io. Obviously it’s not as complex as PUBG, but FOES.IO does feature a nice selection of melee and ranged weaponry, as well as useful perks like speed boosts and health regeneration – which can generally be found inside the houses that are scattered across the battlefield.
As it’s viewed from top down, sneaky players can hide under trees and wait in ambush for passing victims. You can’t hang about for too long though, the area of the battleground will constantly shrink, forcing areas into the center until only one survivor remains.
FOES.IO is never going to compete with the high stakes survival combat of PUBG, but it’s a fun a game that does a great job of fusing Battle Royale mechanics with an easily accessible .io framework. A perfect way to get a quick fix of Battle Royale survival warfare anywhere you go!
