Wannabe weaponsmiths can now sign up to Alpha test Forge and Fight, a multiplayer arena combat game where you can build all manner of crazy weaponry and use them to decimate your opponents.
We previously featured a single-player prototype of Forge and Fight on Alpha Beta Gamer a year ago and had a lot of fun with building and testing a variety of ridiculously OTT weaponry. In the game you can slot together handles, connectors, blades, saws, guns and an assortment of other deadly objects to build your perfect weapon, then you get to test it out in an arena against your opponents.
There is a limit to the amount of parts you can add, but you can create some pretty massive weapons nonetheless. In the arena you can move your character as normal with the WASD keys, but you can also have 1:1 control of the weapon by holding LMB and moving the mouse – allowing you to swing your weapon around wildly and wreck anyone who comes near.
The year old prototype of Forge and Fight was a whole lot of fun, and although there’s not much info about what will be in the Alpha, it will feature six player multiplayer combat – which promises to be a blast. There is an NDA, so no capturing and sharing gameplay footage outside of the official Forge and Fight Discord channel. The Beta will take place between March the 13th (2 pm CET) to the 14th (2 pm CET), sign up and get ready for some forging good fun.
