Fragile is a beautifully animated, creepy and very weird 2D hand drawn horror adventure that follows a kidnapped young girl who finds herself trapped in an abandoned mine in Mongolia.
The beautifully drawn artwork of Fragile belies some very dark subject matter – namely child abduction, abuse and human trafficking. It takes place in the ger district of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and follows a 10 year old girl as she’s kidnapped by a shadowy organisation which deals with child trafficking and other shady activities. Thankfully she manages to escape from her cell, but now she has to find a way to escape the abandoned underground mine system the cell was located in.
The demo build of Fragile takes around 20 minutes to play through and really impresses with its high quality artwork and dark subject matter. The reality of child trafficking is genuinely horrifying, but as serious as the story is, there are also some extremely weird moments too – such as a freaky mutant you meet in the tunnels. It’s the humans that are the real monsters in this game though.
