Ghost Recon Wildlands: Ghost War is a standalone spinoff of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands that focuses on short 4v4 team deathmatch matches where tactics and teamwork are king.
The current Beta build of Ghost Recon Wildlands: Ghost War features 6 possible classes (12 will be in the final release) and 5 (of 8) maps to do battle across. It uses the Wildlands framework, but focuses the gameplay into a tight and tactical team based experience as teams of 4 attempt to eliminate each other.
Gung-ho lone wolves will be picked off pretty quickly and you only get one life per match so stealth, strategy and teamwork are advised. You can use a nice selection of weaponry, fly drones, spot and mark enemies for your other teammates to take out and you can even heal downed teammates – but you have to be careful when doing so, the enemy may be using them as bait to lure you out of hiding!
Your enjoyment of Ghost Recon Wildlands: Ghost War will most likely depend on your teammates. You’ll see a lot of people just scattering and running straight at enemy at the moment, but if you have a decent team together then it can offer a very enjoyable tactical combat experience. The Beta finishes on September 25th, so get it now if you fancy joining in the 4v4 ghosty warfare!
Note: Ghost Recon Wildlands is not required to play Ghost War, but you will need a Ubisoft account.
