Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure is a beautifully drawn and well written comedic point and click adventure inspired by classic Lucasarts Adventures and the works of Hitchcock and HP Lovecraft.
The game centers around the fabled Necronomicon and how it affects the three protagonists that you control throughout the game – A P.I. called Don R Ketype, a Librarian called Buzz Kerwan and a talking cat called Kitteh. After coming into possession of the Necronomicon Buzz accidentally turned his pet cat into a talking abomination, neither Buzz or Kitteh are too happy about it and set out on a quest to turn her back to normal.
Point and click adventures live and die by the quality of the artwork, dialogue and puzzles. Thankfully, if the Demo build is anything to go by, Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure does all these very well. Indeed, even in these early stages of development, the game has a level of polish, humor and gameplay on a par with the classic Lucasarts adventures it’s inspired by. The dialogue is a particular standout – full of interesting characters, witty put downs and fourth wall breaking in-jokes that are bound to raise a smile.
With it’s excellent artwork, oddball characters and genuinely funny dialogue, Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure is a must for fans of classic point and click adventures. We Necronomi-can’t wait to see more of it!

I saw a black cat in a Lovecraft game and got a little nervous. ;P
