Goodbye Seoul is a narrative-driven cinematic puzzle platforming adventure set in a world that’s going to be wiped out in six months time.
In Goodbye Seoul you are a young woman called Rion, who is struggling to come to terms with the fact that the world is about to be wiped out by an asteroid collision in six months. There’s no stopping the asteroid. Humanity is all-but doomed and civilization has broken down. Rion is about to end her life when she comes across a man who offers her a chance to escape on a top secret space evacuation. Getting there might be trudy though as she traverses her ruined city
The puzzles could do with a little more complexity and some of the dialogue might need a little sharpening, but the pixel art visuals are beautiful and the story is very interesting. The setting of a world where everyone knows they’re going to die soon is fascinating and looks set to throw up lots of characters with different perspectives on it. It’s well worth saying hello to Goodbye Seoul.
