Start your engines! Beta sign ups are now live for Gran Turismo Sport – Polyphony’s latest instalment of the popular high fidelity racing simulation franchise.
Racers are able to sign up for the Gran Turismo Sport Beta right now, and Beta keys will start rolling out worldwide on March 17th. Don’t be too disheartened if you don’t get a key on the 17th though, more players will be invited to the Beta during different phases. Initially servers will only be open for set times during each day – no times have been announced yet, but times will be announced before the Beta launches via the official website. http://www.gran-turismo.com/
The first stage of the Beta will include a different rotation of cars and tracks each day, with different race class categories and course configurations to shake things up too. I’ll also be the first chance for players to see the new Driver Profile system – which keeps detailed statistics on your driving habits and awards players a ‘Sportsmanship Rating’ (how well you behave on track) and a ‘Driver Rating’ (how well you do on track).
Gran Turismo games are notoriously slow to be released, but the wait is usually worth it and we’re glad to see GT Sport is inching closer to the finish line. Knowing Polyphony it could still be another year or two until the final release though so make sure you get in on the Beta while you have the chance!
UPDATE: This Beta Is No Longer Available
