Grobe Rode is a fun physics based sandbox game that plays like a blend of Noby Noby Boy and Katamari Damacy, with you controlling opposite ends of a snake-like creature and knocking objects off the map to grow.
You start each level of Grobe Rode with a small double-ended snake creature that you can control each end of independently with the control sticks of your control pad. You’re surrounded by a large physics based sandbox full of objects that you can push, knock over and wrap yourself around. However you don’t grow bigger by making a mess, you grow bigger by tidying up – specifically you gain mass for each object you can knock off the edge of the map.
The current build of Grobe Rode features three full levels and one test level (which you can access by pausing on the main menu screen). Manoeuvring your character takes a little getting used to, and when you’re only little it can be hard to get started clearing clutter on some levels. Once you get the hang of it it’s a great little game though. The chunky, colorful visuals look great and each of the environments are packed full of interesting objects to fling off the side. Well worth checking out for some sandbox clearing physics based fun.
