Happy’s Humble Burger Farm is a first person fast food horror game set within a fast food restaurant where something very strange is afoot.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the Alpha sign up, a few days ago, Happy’s Humble Burger Farm is a fully fleshed out sequel/reboot of Happy’s Humble Burger Barn. In the game you take on the role of a new employee at a McDonalds-esque fast food restaurant, bt it seems at you are the only employee per shift, so you really you work cut out as you run around cooking meat patties, fries and nuggets, pouring drinks, serving customers, putting cash in the till and caring out odd maintenance jobs like unclogging toilets and taking out the trash.
There really is a lot to keep you busy as you work each shift – so much so that you don’t have time to think about the strangeness of your situation. You have some wild dreams at night, you never see anyone but the customers and the bovine mascot gets very angry when you don’t get the orders right. Something’s not quite right at Happy’s Humble Burger Farm…
It takes around 30 minutes to play through the current build of Happy’s Humble Burger Farm and it certainly leaves you wanting to find out more. The fast food serving simulation gameplay is surprisingly comprehensive and is a lot of fun, meanwhile the psychological horror elements are well implemented. There are some wild dream sequences that are particularly impressive and it’s full of great little touches – such as being able to find songs from the dev’s previous games to play on the radio. An excellent taste of things to come and will make your mouth water for the main course.
