Hell Let Loose is a promising new platoon-based tactical first person shooter with massive 100 player battles in incredibly detailed WWII battlefields that have been recreated on a 1:1 scale from archival reference material.
Currently in development on Unreal Engine 4, Hell Let Loose has a big focus on teamwork and communication, with platoons led by Officers and a force Commander. Co-ordination is crucial, with players mustering behind the front lines then timing the big push carefully to allow the best tactical advantage. Smash through the front line and you’ll be able to earn more resources, establish supply lines and build garrisons that act as respawn points.
Hell Let Loose has a big emphasis on realism, with historically accurate weaponry, armor and tactics, as well as the highly detailed 4km wide battleground recreations. Terrain can be used to your advantage, with Engineers placing minefields and barbed wire to create choke points, dense woodlands providing cover for huge anti-tank guns and the rubble of half demolished towns providing lots of hiding places for infantry.
It’s an ambitious game, that looks like it’ll offer a grounded, realistic and very tactical counterpoint to CoD’s impending inevitably bombastic take on the same era. Sign up now to be one of the first to let some Hell loose!
