Iron Danger is a tactical RPG adventure where you can use objects in the environment and a Forza-esque time rewind mechanic to defeat the fantastic beasts and steam-belching cyborgs that inhabit its beautiful steampunk fantasy world.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Alpha sign up, Iron Danger is an isometric open world tactical RPG with highly interactive environments and novel time manipulation mechanics. It takes place in a steampunk fantasy world that draws inspiration from Finnish folklore and follows a sharp-witted girl called Kipuna as she uses her time-bending powers to save humanity from the wrath of a witch queen.
The combat Iron Danger takes place in real-time, but you can pause and rewind the last five seconds at any time, giving it an almost turn-based feeling and allowing you to experiment with lots of different tactics. This is especially useful as (a little like in Divinity: Original Sin), the environments are highly interactive and can be used to your advantage in interesting ways – such as setting someone on fire and kicking them into a grain field or making a tree fall on top of them.
The time-rewinding of Iron Danger is a great concept that should do exactly what it did in Forza – making the genre more accessible and allowing player to try different approaches (to monsters instead of corners though). It also promises no grinding, a tight 15+ hour story and plenty of epic boss fights. Beta testing starts soon so sign up now to joinin theis epic time-bending RPG adventure.
To sign up for the Iron Danger Beta, just join the Discord group and fill out the Beta sign up form in the #closed-beta channel (sign-ups close at the end of today).
