Beta sign ups are now live for Jump Force on PS4 and Xbox One – a tag-team fighting game that aims to deliver the ultimate Manga smackdown, with beloved characters from Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh! And Death Note all joining the fray!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, Bandai Namco are planning to release Jump Force, a 3v3 tag team fighting game that looks set to deliver an ultimate Manga mash-up. So far there are 20 confirmed playable characters, spanning seven popular Anime/Manga series’. As well as local and online multiplayer combat, it’ll also feature a full story mode which will be set in a merging of the Jump World and the real world.
The playable characters announced so far include Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki and Sōsuke Aizen from Bleach, Son Goku, Vegeta and Frieza from Dragon Ball, Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, Kurapika and Hisoka Morow from Hunter x Hunter, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto, Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Vinsmoke Sanji, Sabo and Blackbeard from One Piece, Yusuke Urameshi and Younger Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho and Yugi Mutou from Yu-Gi-Oh!. Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note will also be in the story mode, but it’s unclear if they’ll be playable.
It’s a very exciting roster of fighters and Dragon Ball FighterZ proved recently that it’s possible to make a great Anime fighting game. Beta testing will take place in four different sessions – Friday October 12th (5:00 am to 7:00 am PT), Saturday October 13th (8:00 pm to 10:00 pm PT), Saturday October 13th (9:00 am to 11:00 am PT) and Sunday October 14th
(8:00 pm to 10:00 pm PT) and spaces are limited to sign up quick to secure yourself a space in this mega Manga rumble!
UPDATE: The Jump Force closed Beta sign up is now finished, but it will be in Open Beta Between Friday the 18th of January to Sunday the 21st. You can download the Beta now via the PS4 and Xbox One digital stores. Test times are as follows:
Friday 18th January: 4am PST – 7am PST
Friday 18th January: 9pm PST – 12am PST
Saturday 19th January: 8am PST – 11am PST
Sunday 20th January: 12pm PST – 3pm PST
