Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack is a lighthearted Day of the Tentacle-esque point and click adventure which allows you to take control of three different characters as they end up mixed up in an adventure that involves time-travel, angry robots and love gone awry.
In Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack you follow the adventures of an accidental time-traveller called Justin, his ex-girlfriend and a hipster caveman. It all starts when a heartbroken Justin microwaves some food without taking the metal packaging off, causing a temporal portal to open up, trapping him in 11,000 BC. Surely things can’t get much worse for Justin? Well there is also the small matter of nasty mechanical agents who hunt down and neutralise any unauthorized time-travellers…
The Justin Wack and the Big Time Hack Kickstarter demo build features around 20 minutes of gameplay and introduces you to the game’s three protagonists (though only two are playable), as Justin and the cavemen attempt to escape capture by the robotic time-police. It really impresses with its bold cartoony visuals, great sense of humor, intuitive UI and fun puzzles. The multi-character premise is fondly reminiscent of Day of the Tentacle and there are some great gags throughout (especially in the caveman’s storyline). Well worth checking out for a fun time-travelling point and click adventure with lots of great tongue-in-cheek humor.
