Lapso is a beautiful, spooky and atmospheric first person Sci-Fi adventure set within an underground cave system that contains mysterious artefacts of alien origin.
In Lapso you find yourself on the trail of a missing woman in a mysterious rural area that has a history of hikers going missing and sightings of figures crowned in light. While searching a cave bright lights appear and you’re transported to another area of the cave system (and perhaps another time). Throughout the cave there are traces of luminous Predator-esque blood and strange alien looking artefacts. You’ll have to delve deeper into the cave system and uncover the secrets of the alien technology to stand any chance of escape.
The current build of Lapso takes around 20 minutes to play through and is a captivating experience from start to finish. The visuals are photorealistic at times, the lighting is excellent and the spatial audio design is superb – especially in the waterfall area (headphones highly recommended). It’s not a full-on horror game, but it’s a very tense and atmospheric experience as you explore the caves and it’s fun trying to figure out how to work the alien technology. A dark Sci-Fi spelunking adventure well worth delving into.
