Level Zero: Extraction is an asymmetric multiplayer PvPvPvE Sci-Fi horror extraction shooter where trams embark on scavenging expeditions in facilities that are home to light-phobic monsters.
Drawing inspiration from Escape from Tarkov, Hunt: Showdown, GTFO, and Alien: Isolation, Level Zero: Extraction is a Sci-Fi extraction shooter with a big focus on horror. It is playable in single player, but it’s really geared up for multiplayer gameplay, with three teams of mercenaries competing to get loot in high-stakes scavenging missions.
There’s a lot of high value loot to collect, including weapons, gadgets, research data and crafting resources, but you’d better be careful – you’ll lose the vast majority of it if you die. It’s not just other merc teams you’ll need to deal with, but the aliens too. Light is the only thing that will kill them so you’ll need to use motion sensors, light traps, flares, glowsticks, flashlights and any other light sources to your advantage if you want to survive.
Extraction shooters are rarely scary, so if Level Zero: Extraction can create a tense horror experience it could be a great addition to the genre. Visually it’s very impressive and the light-based weaponry is an interesting touch. The closed Beta launches on March 15th so sign up now to join in!
