Love Letter is a multiplayer game of risk, deduction and luck for one to four players in which your aim is to get your love letter to a princess before one of the other suitors does so first.
Love Letter is a digital adaptation of the tabletop card game of the same name. It sees one to four suitors attempting to woo the Princess of the Tempest by sending her love letters. You can’t enter the palace yourself, so must try to use others (your cards) to take your letter to her whilst doing your best to deflect the efforts of the other suitors.
The game is played out with a deck of just sixteen cards so players can try to deduce what cards the others are holding. One card is removed from play at the start of the game and each player is dealt one card. Each turn players can pick up one card and draw one card. Guessing which cards other players are holding plays an important factor in the game, as does knowing when to keep or play the more powerful cards.
A card game with just 16 cards in the deck is an interesting concept and developer Nomad Games (creator of Talisman: Digital Edition and Fighting Fantasy Legends) certainly know how to do digital tabletop game adaptations well. Sign up for the Beta to see if you can woo your princess!

Yeah, as we mentioned in the article there were only a limited amount of keys available. Looks like they’re all gone now. You can still get into the iOS beta though. :)
