Luto is a tense and atmospheric first person psychological horror game that explores different phobias as you struggle to escape your own house.
In Luto you follow the story of a man who is suffering from anxiety and depression as a result of the loss of a loved one. This seems to have manifested itself in transforming your home into a labyrinthine trap that you’re trying to escape. To do so you’ll need to face your fears, solve puzzles and discover the dark secrets of the game’s dynamic environment.
Due to its setting and it’s visuals it’s likely that Luto will be compared to P.T., but it’s not a lazy looping corridor horror game – it’s much more interesting and creative than that. Even in the demo there’s lots to discover in its cleverly structured world and there’s barely any corridor looping going on. It’s got a nice mixture of exploration, puzzle solving and horror, and particularly impressive is the environmental storytelling and the cloth physics on the freaky sheet monsters. Highly recommended.
