M.A.S.S. Builder allows players to build, customize and pilot their very own mechs then use them to fend off an alien invasion.
The third person action RPG gameplay of M.A.S.S. Builder takes place in a distant future where aliens have invaded Earth and humanity has developed M.A.S.S. (Mechanical Assault Skeleton Suit) technology to combat them. You take on the role of a mercenary company that works for the World Defense Force, building and piloting the M.A.S.S. technology as you fight to save the world.
The current build of M.A.S.S. Builder gives players access to mech customization tools and gives you a couple of missions to test them out in. There is only one endoskeleton at the moment (and the endoskeleton is what creates the most structural differences between mechs), but there are hundreds of unique parts you can use to customize your mech, each of which can be painted and covered with decals.
Your mech is pretty nimble in combat and you have a nice selection of melee weapons, guns and missiles to deal out damage with. The mechs don’t feel quite as weighty and authentically mech-like as the likes of Titanfall but it’s a lot of fun, even in its current early in development state. It’s really shaping up to be a great bit of build n’ battle mech action RPG fun.
