Mistmore is a Lovecraftian top-down action adventure which follows a detective who travels to a remote island to investigate the disappearance of a scientist who was on the verge of creating a power source without limits.
In Mistmore you explore a mysterious island in search of Professor Ekenberg – a scientist who was on the verge of a world changing breakthrough before she went missing. Upon arriving at the island it’s obvious that something is wrong. There are no birds or insects, and the only noise being a strange buzzing sound that permeates the air.
The locals are less than welcoming, with a lot of them choosing to lock themselves indoors and worship “The Great One”. Any people that you do see outdoors have been infected by Lovecraftian tentacle creatures and will attack you if you go near. Thankfully you have an axe, a gun and the ability to dash across short distances – three things that will aid you considerably as you try to activate the lighthouse and make your escape from the island.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, Mistmore is a fun little adventure with an interesting narrative, a great visual style and challenging hack n’ slash gameplay. It’d be nice if there was a little more depth to the combat, but even as it stands it’s an excellent half hour Lovecraftian adventure well worth checking out.

A good game however the site it was uploaded on really need to enforce “List the minimum system required for this game!”
I tried playing it on my relatively new (3 years old) Toshiba laptop with a HD4400 graphics chip and it chugged at barely 10fps.
