Monster Hunter World is currently in Open Beta on PS4, with players able to join in the epic monster hunting fun now!
The Monster Hunter World Beta runs until 5pm GMT on December 12th and features three unique quests that can be played in single player or online multiplayer. The quests are ‘Great Devourer, Great Jagras’ and ‘The Ancient Forest Menace’ which both take place in the Ancient forest, as well as ‘Wildspire Rampage’ that takes place in the Wildspire Waste.
There’s a good bit of variety in the Monster Hunter World Beta, with the lush foliage of the Ancient Forest offering a nice contrast to the arid sands of the Wildspire Waste and each quest offering a different monster to try your hand at hunting. There’s a nice selection of badass weapons available as well as six different presets for Palico helpers and six different presets for your hunters.
It’s an impressive game that offers a very different take on the Monster Hunter formula. It’s a more streamlined experience, with 20 minute time limits for each quest – which is a little annoying as there’s so much to discover on each map that you don’t really want to rush. It’s great fun though as you explore the vibrant, living game world and hunt those massive monsters with ridiculous OTT weaponry. Jump into the Beta now and join to start hunting those monsters!
UPDATE: This Beta Is No Longer Available
