NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is a new battle royale game with a high focus on verticality, stealth and player mobility as players use grappling hooks to propel themselves around the its beautiful Feudal Japanese game world.
There’s a Breath of the Wild-esque philosophy to NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, in that there is no place that you can’t reach and if you see it then you can climb it. This is thanks largely to the agility of the characters and the fact they come equipped with a grappling hook which can attach to anything and propel them through the world (a little like a certain web-slinging superhero).
At its heart NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is a 60 player battle royale game, but the way you approach your enemy (or how they approach you) is very different from the likes of Fortnite. You can rush in and face them in combat, but you can also utilize stealth to get the drop on them and assassinate them. Being able to scale any structure really has some advantages when you’re trying to sneak up on a target.
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT currently features six playable characters, each with their own unique abilities and fighting styles, and you can also collect weapons and equipment during matches. When you face off against an opponent in a duel then the combat is fast, fluid and visceral, with lots of swishing blades and brutal kills. It also has a unique auto-blocking system that means you don’t have to worry about holding a block/parry button, but you do have to master the timing of your attacks,
It’s a very impressive looking game with high quality visuals, fluid combat and plenty of freedom of movement. The closed Beta launches on November 3rd so sign up now to join in the fun!
