Necrophosis is an eerie cosmic horror adventure that draws inspiration from the artwork of Zdzislaw Beksinski as you immerse yourself in a surreal nightmarish universe.
Currently in development by the creators of The Shore, Necrophosis is an awe-inspiring cosmic horror adventure heavily inspired by Zdzislaw Beksinski’s incredible artwork. It sees you awakening billions of years after the universe has met its demise in a world that’s been cursed by a plague called Necrophosis. It’s infected everything with an essence of decay and you’ll bear witness as you explore the world.
The gameplay in Necrophosis involves exploration and puzzle solving, and you can also transfer your consciousness to different objects to operate them. The puzzles are fairly simple, but do a good job of drawing your attention to different areas of the game world.
Because it’s a horror game inspired by Zdzislaw Beksinski, Necrophosis is bound to draw comparisons to Scorn but it’s a very different game. There is a bit of an issue with the dialogue at the moment (cosmic entities speaking perfect english to you really breaks the immersion), but visually it’s stunning and it’s an interesting world that you’ll be dying to see more of. It’s like you’ve walked into a Zdzislaw Beksinski painting.
