Never Split The Party is a social roguelike dungeon crawler that plays like a co-op multiplayer Binding of Isaac, with you and three other players battling through procedurally generated dungeons full of enemies, traps, bosses, loot and stackable power-ups.
The top-down dungeon crawling gameplay in Never Split The Party is pretty much the same as The Binding of Isaac, even down the the controls, stackable power-ups, random pills (except they’re potions), and secret rooms. However, the multiplayer aspect introduces some interesting new features that make it a much more social experience.
Never Split The Party is played in teams of four, with each player being randomly assigned a role – Cartographer, Treasurer, Loremaster and Vitalist. The Cartographer tracks the dungeons maps, The Treasurer tracks players inventories, The Vitalist tracks players health and the Loremaster tracks all knowledge of upgrades. It pays to stay together as if a player is separated from the group then then nobody can access that specific info until they rejoin the group. Also, in the highly likely event that you die, players can donate some of their heath to revive you.
It’s still early in development so does have a few rough edges, such as the rather lacklustre audio and the boss fights that aren’t particularly spectacular. Other than that though Never Split The Party is a blast and plays exactly what you’d expect a multiplayer Binding of Isaac to play like. It’s nice to have some teammates by your side as you tackle those deadly dungeons!

To join in the Never Split The Party Alpha just join the official Discord group and DM anyone who’s assigned the role of ‘Key Keppers’ (a list of who’s online and their roles is on the right side of the channel). They’ll then send you a key (while keys last).
