Nex Machina is spectacular looking Anime-inspired twin-stick arcade shooter from two giants of the shooter genre – Housemarque (creators of Super Stardust and Resogun) and Eugene Jarvis (creator of Robotron and Smash TV).
Nex Machina is an adrenaline-fuelled twin-stick shooter set in a future where humans have become so dependent on technology that they cannot avert their eyes from mobile devices anymore (probably not a too distant future then!). Machines have reached consciousness and have become far more intelligent than the primitive humans they serve – so starts an uprising as the robots attempt to eradicate all human life and claim the planet as their own. That is unless someone manages to stop them of course…
In Nex Machina you’ll face swarms of robots and massive bosses as you fight against the robot menace to stop them harvesting the screen-addicted humans. It draws on the fast paced arcade gameplay of Resogun and Robotron to create a high octane voxel based shooter where everything can be blown to pieces and the carnage that unfolds really is a feast for the eyes.
To back up it’s intense run and gun combat, Nex Machina also features high quality Anime-style cutscenes, online leaderboards, ranked tournaments, spectator mode and online challenges that should provide plenty of replayability. It’s a fantastic looking game, packed full of voxel-based carnage, snazzy lighting effects and intense skill based action that’ll test your reflexes to the limits. The Beta starts on the 21st of April 2017 and ends on the 1st of May 2017 with limited spots available, so sign up now for a chance to be one of the first to get to grips with this action-packed evolution of the classic twin-stick shooter.
