Nine to Five is a tactical first person military shooter where teamwork and strategy beats brute force and fast reflexes, as three teams of three face each other over three intense rounds.
You outsmart your opponents rather than outgun them in Nine to Five – a tactical 3v3v3 FPS from Redhill Games, a team of industry veterans who have worked on Max Payne, Arma 3, Quantum Break and World of Tanks. It’s positioning itself as an alternative to the chaotic modern Call of Duty style FPS, slowing down the pace of the gameplay and allowing players to find their role in a team, then use teamwork and tactics to get the best of their opponents.
There’s no gameplay footage yet, but it’s a serious shooter set in the near future where mercenaries fight at the behest of large corporations. It pits three teams of three mercenaries against each other over three rounds with changing objectives and each round affecting the last.
The developers at Redhill Games certainly know how to make good shooting and online games and an antidote to CoDs hyperactive FPS combat is always welcome. Sign up for the Alpha for a game that puts the “tactics” back into the tactical first person shooter.
