Nowhere Prophet is a single-player dustpunk card battling adventure that draws from Indian culture and sees you leading your followers on a pilgrimage through procedurally generated post-apocalyptic wasteland.
In Nowhere Prophet you’ll take on the role of a leader who has the ability to sense and affect electrical currents. This will come in handy as you lead your band of followers through the wastelands and ruins of a once great civilzation that was destroyed by a complete technological collapse. You now search for the Crypt – a mystical place that’s rumored to be a safe haven with untainted technology.
As you make your way across the procedurally generated wastelands of Nowhere Prophet you’ll scavenge resources, encounter other survivors and deal with random events. Your decisions along the way may earn you rewards that improve your decks or earn you more followers that you can use in battle.
The combat is card based and sees you positioning your followers on the battlefield to fight your enemies. You’ll have to be careful though – Nowhere Prophet features permadeath, so survivors lost in battle are gone forever.
It’s a great looking game that seems a little like a fun fusion of The Oregon Trail style journeying and tactical card based combat. Sign up for the Beta now to see how you fare in the wastelands.
