One Way Home is a third person horror puzzle platforming adventure where a twelve year old boy makes his way home through streets filled with terrifying monsters.
Looking a little like a more 3D take on the Inside/Little Nightmares style cinematic platforming genre, One Way Home follows the story of a young boy called Jimmy. After being involved in a car accident on his way home from school, Jimmy wakes up to deserted streets and nightmarish monsters. To get home he’ll need to evade monsters, solve puzzles, battle bosses, discover secrets and make meaningful decisions that can affect locations, skills and how the story plays out.
The character animation and environmental design look fantastic and the fact that it’s less linear than most cinematic platforming adventures is a welcome touch. There may only be One Way Home, but it seems like it will be significantly different each time. Sign up for the beta to see if you can make your way home!
