Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy is the sequel to NIS America’s well received Anime-styled dungeon crawler, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy, that sees players continuing on the story as the Xth Squad defend Tokyo from a mysterious new threat called ‘The Embryo’.
Previously only available in Japan, NIS America will be bringing Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy to western shores on Steam and PS Vita on the 16th of May (though the Beta test is PC only). It will continue on the adventures of the talented group of adolescents known as the Xth Squad as they explore labyrinthine dungeons and attempt to deal with a mysterious menace dubbed ‘The Embro” after it appears in the sky above Tokyo.
Operation Babel: New Tokyo Legacy builds on the fun dungeon crawling gameplay of its predecessor with more high quality Anime artwork, more freaky monsters to fight, item based character ability modifications and expanded character customization options that allow players to build hybrid classes. It’s a great looking game, and certainly worth checking out if you enjoyed the original or fancy some dungeon crawling action with a healthy dose of Anime oddity.
