Paragon is an explosive, sci-fi multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) from Epic Games, the studio behind the massively successful Unreal Engine.
Paragon sticks pretty closely to the established tropes of the MOBA genre, with two teams of five Heroes battling it out to destroy one another across a three-laned map using strategy, communication, and a whole lot of minions.
After selecting their Hero, players are able to build a custom deck of cards to bring into a match. Cards act as a sort of item shop, allowing players to upgrade their chosen Hero in-game by spending amber to level up each card. Each character has six Equipment Card slots, and each can be upgraded up to a maximum of three times with Upgrade Cards.
Harvesters are one of Paragon‘s more unique concepts as they allow players to passively harvest amber and dole it out their team members. As amber acts as the game’s currency and helps players level up their cards, strategic Harvester capture and collection introduces an interesting neutral objective for the warring teams.
